Located at 1405 Curtis Street, the Curtis – a DoubleTree by Hilton is smack dab in the center of all the great Denver attractions, just two short blocks off the celebrated 16th Street Mall. Shopping, dining, entertainment and the cultural scene are all right here in our pedestrian-friendly city. We are directly across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Complex and a short block from the Colorado Convention Center.
From the museums and shows to golf and skiing, Denver is the perfect location for all Colorado has to offer from active vacations to posh weekend getaways.
The Denver Performing Arts Complex is steps from the Curtis and is the largest live theater complex west of the Mississippi featuring everything from Broadway shows and Tony Award-winning theatre to symphony, opera, and ballet. Also visit other landmarks near our hotel like Paramount and Buell Theatre on your next visit to Denver.
The Denver Art Museum houses collections, traveling exhibits and programs for all ages — a must-see is the newly-opened Hamilton Building designed by Daniel Libeskind. Check out the Contemporary Art Museum to view innovative contemporary art.
Denver is one of the only cities home to seven major league sports teams. And the Curtis is only minutes away from all of them:
- Pepsi Center, home to the NHL Colorado Avalanche, NBA Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Mammoth (National Lacrosse League)
- Coors Field, home of the MLB Colorado Rockies
- Sports Authority Field at Mile High, home to the NFL Denver Broncos and the Denver Outlaws (major league lacrosse)
- Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, home to the Colorado Rapids
The Downtown Aquarium offers upscale, casual dining and spectacular sea creatures in underwater exhibits. The Children’s Museum will delight newborns through 8-year-olds, and nearby Elitch Gardens, downtown Denver’s theme park, features more than 50 rides and amusements. Just east of downtown, the Denver Zoo is home to over 7,000 animals that love visitors. Next to the zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is the fourth largest museum of its kind with an IMAX theatre, planetarium and national treasures.
